I contacted Light up Tutoring after seeing an advert on social media. I messaged with details of the kind of GCSE maths tutor I was looking for our daughter. Aaliyah was quick to respond with information about her tutoring service and was able to find a suitable tutor for our daughter straight away. She provided full details on the tutor and was able to arrange a trial tutoring session within a few days. Our daughter bonded with the tutor, Sonia, on that first session and we have booked regular weekly sessions since.The tutor has been an excellent support from the start. She provides clear and detailed explanations and examples, sets and marks work, goes through practice questions, and regularly checks with my daughter what she’d like to cover. The detailed progress reports she provides are brilliant for us to see how well our daughter is doing.
Since starting this tuition we have noticed a vast improvement in our daughter’s confidence and she has a much better understanding of what she is covering at school.

Aaliyah and her team have been fantastic from start to finish. My daughter found their company online herself, so at first I was hesitant as this wasn’t a company I had personally discovered. I decided to get into contact anyway and I am so thankful I did. I was astounded at their level of detail in the reports they gave, the constant communication and the improvements in my daughters confidence and grades. I will be sending both my other two children here once they need the support and wouldn’t go anywhere else!
My son suffers with ADD and ADHD so tuition in any capacity tends to be a difficulty. We tried Lightup tutoring with little hope he would stick to it (he never does) and to our surprise he managed to keep up his one lesson a week, increasing it to a later date of 2 per week. This was an absolute miracle for us as our son has never engaged in lessons or teaching like this before. Lightup tutoring don’t seem to just be tutors, but miracle workers too!!
